Wargasm unleash ‘70% Dead’ featuring Corey Taylor

Following their explosive live stream playing Venom in full, Wargasm are back with an incredible new single ‘70% Dead’ with the added bonus of guest vocals from Slipknot frontman & metal icon Cory Taylor.

This is the first single dropped since the release of their debut album ‘Venom’ last year. As you would expect from a band with power they have, the track is filled with high energy and bouncy EDM vibes that drag you in from the get go. The unmistakable vocals of Corey come in hard and heavy slotting in perfectly with the intensity of both Sam Matlock & Milkie Way’s vocals, all three together just run seamlessly throughout the entirety of the song. Sam’s screams are electrifying and blend so well with crushing riffs and heavy electronic backing track that leaves the continued thoughts of movement in a sweaty room.

Discussing the track, the band state “We were on the road in the USA with Corey – Sam ended up jumping on a mic with him during his set and we just felt like the voices sounded right together. It totally made sense to do something fresh with the three of us and well…. you don’t ask you don’t get.

Some OG fans might recognise the lyrics, this has been a long time coming. 70% Dead is a cry out at a world gone mad; war, disease, inequality. It feels like something is brewing. ‘Fuck me, what went wrong? I’m sick of sleeping on the barrel of a loaded gun”

The song comes at the perfect time with Wargasm flying high across the festival circuit so far and showing with such a heavy mash up of Corey Taylor & EDM, they are really a force to watch out for this year.
