Mimi Barks returns with new single ‘Dreamstate Of Hell’

Mimi Barks has returned with her explosive new single and video, “Dreamstate Of Hell.” Developing from the sound she introduced on her debut album THIS IS DOOM TRAP, the track is a dark, emotionally charged statement that fuses metal, industrial intensity, and trap influences.
Speaking about the single, Barks explains: “Sometimes it feels like the world is slipping into a dreamstate of hell and most people do not even realize they are asleep inside it. Everywhere I look, I see noise, decay, violence, distraction and now war becoming part of the daily landscape again. But to me heaven and hell are not places waiting for us when we die, they’re states of consciousness we create every day while we are here in the flesh. The real question is what you choose to feed: the poison or the light. ‘Dreamstate Of Hell’ was the first song I wrote after moving to Los Angeles, and it became the starting point for everything that followed.”
The accompanying music video, directed, produced, and filmed by Demi Yo’Ko, vocalist of Death Tour, in collaboration with Barks was shot in Downtown Los Angeles, watch below.
This year, Mimi Barks will make her U.S. touring debut on a 26-date run with Little Miss Nasty and GG Magree. She will then return to Europe for a series of dates with Wargasm, before wrapping up the run with her UK headline tour in September.
