Few things are nicer to see in this world than when people who put in hard work receive the recognition they deserve and one of those examples is Scottish genre pushing powerhouses VUKOVI. Since the band’s debut album in 2017 things have been steadily building for Janine & Hamish culminating in the latest announcement that they have signed to SharpTone Records home of band such as Don Broco, Holding Absence and Loathe to name a few. Along with this news they have also dropped a brand new single entitled ‘CREEP HEAT’. The song pushes the boundaries of the VUKOVI sound with industrial and hyper pop electronic elements added into the mix along with the huge hook filled vocal melodies, chunky riffs and energy filled grooves the band are known for. It’s an exciting time to be a Vukovi fan and with their new home and new music on the horizon, things are only going to get bigger from here.
Speaking about their new label Janine says: “We have both been fans of Sharptone throughout the existence of VUKOVI. Our paths finally meeting is a real pinch me moment”. Expanding on the themes of “CREEP HEAT” she continues: “I want this to be a catalyst for more women to start believing they are more than capable of directing; the industry and future generations need us. I’m always learning and growing as I go, there is never a right time to start other than now. I’m very grateful to be so well supported and believed in by Hamish and our team. I feel seen”
