VUKOVI announce new album ‘MY GOD HAS GOT A GUN’ & release new single ‘GUNGHO’

Scottish modern rock powerhouses VUKOVI are kick starting their new era with the announcement of their brand new album ‘MY GOD HAS GOT A GUN’, which will be released on the 24th of January 2025 and is their first via new label Sharptone Records. To mark the occasion the band have also dropped the music video for brand new single and the first taste of the album ‘GUNGHO’. The song is an anthemic riffed up alt pop tinged banger that has all the Vukovi traits that fans know and love and more. Frontwoman Janine Shilstone delivers a vocal performance packed full of character, provocative lyrics and ear worm melodies with a chorus that will orbit around your brain for days. Musically it’s as accomplished as anything they have done, with the perfect blend of huge guitars, piercing drums and electronic flourishes topped off by a filthy nu-metal-esque breakdown.
Speaking on the new music Janine shares: “A new chapter of sound is about to unfold. These songs will speak to places we’ve all been, but few have heard.”

The album was produced by the legendary Machine at the ‘The Machine Shop’ Recording Studio in Austin, where the band spent weeks spent in the heart of Texas channelling the heat, the dust, and the raw, untamed energy of the landscape into their music. The album’s artwork, a haunting and vivid creation, was painted by Janine herself.
