Twin Atlantic are gearing up their new album “Meltdown” which is set for release on the 9th August digitally and 13th September physically via the band’s own label Staple Diet Records and today have released an emotional new single ‘Sorry’. Twin Atlantic have always been able to pull on the heartstrings and deliver huge cathartic anthems and ‘Sorry’ definitely falls under that category with beautifully orchestrally backed instrumentals laying the foundation for vocalist Sam McTrusty to deliver a performance full of honest lyrics and sweet melodies on top of.

Speaking on the song McTrusty says: “I’ve always used songwriting as a multi-layered tool to help figure myself and life out. A form of self therapy… I’m so lucky to have band mates who’ve allowed me that space and ‘Sorry’ is a really great example of that. We love that our fans use our songs in the same way and this one feels like it could be right at the top of that list for people. Easily one of my favourite twin atlantic songs.”

Speaking on the recording of the album, which was produced by McTrusty and bassist Ross McNae and mixed by longtime collaborator Romesh Dodangoda, he says: “Over the last 18 months we have been relentlessly obsessing over the making of a new album. We built two studios to have our own freedom and space to dig deeper into the essence of our band... That freedom evolved into engineering and producing the album ourselves. Zero outside influences. What we’ve got in the end is something we are so proud of and feels like our best work yet. The time felt right to revisit our roots and dive back into the big chorus’s and massive guitars that shaped our band’s early years, but obviously having lived life and toured the world since then we found an evolution of that sound.”
