Twin Atlantic Announce Double Album Reissue: Great Divide 10th Anniversary + Vivarium First-Time Vinyl Pressing

Twin Atlantic are rewinding the clock and celebrating two massive chapters of their story with not one, but two special reissues landing November 21st via Red Bull Records. The Glasgow alt-rock heroes have announced a 10th anniversary edition of their career-defining 2014 album Great Divide, alongside the first-ever vinyl pressing of their 2009 debut Vivarium.

To mark the moment, the band will also play two intimate, career-spanning shows this December, performing both albums in full. December 4th at Glasgow’s legendary Barrowlands, and December 5th at London’s Islington Assembly Hall.

“Great Divide took us all over the world and gave us the loudest singalongs of our lives,” says frontman Sam McTrusty. “To mark its 10th birthday, we’re reissuing it on special edition vinyl with new artwork and two bonus tracks — including an unreleased demo and a live song from Glastonbury. We’ll be playing the whole record live in Glasgow and London – the two cities where it means the most.”

Bassist Ross McNae adds: “This record has always been about the connection between the songs and you, the fans who gave it life. As a thank you, we’re also doing the first-ever vinyl pressing of Vivarium and playing it in full as our own support act. Thanks for sticking with us – here’s to another decade.”

Originally released in 2014, Great Divide was the moment Twin Atlantic crashed into the mainstream. Featuring the anthemic breakout hit Heart and Soul (UK #17, UK Rock Chart #1), the album went Silver in the UK, topped the Scottish Albums Chart, and landed at #6 on the UK Albums Chart. It returns now in a limited edition LP + 7” format with fresh artwork and two bonus tracks:

  • Heart and Soul (Live at Glastonbury)

  • Brothers and Sisters (Red Bull Studios Demo)

Digital versions will feature three additional rarities:

  • This Is My Life (Demo)

  • Hold On (Jacknife Lee Demo)

  • Brothers and Sisters (Live at Hydro)

A brand new Dolby ATMOS mix is also on the way, breathing new life into one of the most emotional and expansive rock albums of the 2010s.

Their 2009 debut Vivarium – an 8-track powerhouse that helped define the post-Biffy era of Scottish rock is finally getting the vinyl treatment. Long out of reach for collectors, this first pressing arrives on 180g black vinyl (limited to just 500 copies), complete with new artwork and freshly remastered audio that pays tribute to the era it captured.

The announcement caps off a stacked summer of festival appearances – including Download, Slam Dunk, Isle of Wight, 2000 Trees, TRNSMT and more as well as select UK headline shows. With a refreshed lineup, a recently released 2024 album (Meltdown), and now these two landmark reissues, Twin Atlantic are firmly in the driver’s seat heading into their next decade.
