The Dangerous Summer announce new album Gravity and release title track

The Dangerous Summer have been a constant presence in the alternative music landscape since their debut record way back in 2009, and despite having a few ups and downs and line up changes along the way they are still churning out their brand of emotionally charged rock at an impressive rate. Now, they have announced their forthcoming record, “Gravity”, will be out on the 21st June 2024 via Rude Records and to celebrate they have shared their brand new single and video for the title track ‘Gravity’. The song delivers all the identifiable sonic qualities fans love from the band, with blissful upbeat instrumentals setting the foundation for vocalist AJ Perdomo to deliver his heartfelt melodies and lyrics on top of as he addresses overcoming personal darkness and navigating the mysteries of the unknown.
Speaking on the track AJ shares, “‘Gravity’ almost never happened. It had an old name – ‘The Walls Outside,’ with completely different lyrics. A week before the end of the record, I locked myself in my room for 2 and a half days. It was kind of a breaking point in the record, but it turned out to be filled with so much heart, that it ended up as the first single. It really encapsulates the album. The lonely journey we spent out in space finding our sound. There were times where I thought that we would never make it back.”
