‘Injury Episode’ sees Static Dress deliver on their promise to continue to innovate within the form of contemporary emo. Widely regarded as one of the alternative scenes most innovative acts, the excitement surrounding Static Dress has continued to grow rapidly since debut single ‘clean’ in 2019. With an alternate Universe running through their work that fans eagerly follow along with, whether that’s in the form of self-released comic books (and accompanying soundtracks), video games, their debut album ‘Rouge Carpet Disaster’, or all of the above, Static Dress have created something huge. The eager interest surrounding the band has led them to tours alongside artists like Bring Me The Horizon and Underoath, as well as slots at Outbreak Fest, Reading and Leeds, Furnace Fest and Download Festival to name a few.
New album ‘Injury Episode’ acts as a comment on the commodification of art, how the culture of algorithms and “constantly-scrolling” has pushed mainstream audiences towards instant gratification over challenging art. With this release Static Dress avoid typical song structure, forcing the listener to pay attention and decode the tracks for themselves. However, don’t get me wrong while visceral in nature each and every track is infectious in its own right.
Alongside the album release Static Dress incorporate psychological and body horror into their work with the self-directed visual for ‘dull blade disguise’

To celebrate ‘Injury Episode’ the band are hosting three special ‘Panic Room’ shows; a continuation of their fabled performances of the same name early on in their career. Following this they have shows as direct support for Bring Me The Horizon, as well as US headline shows and a run in the US supporting Motionless In White.
