Buffalo hardcore crew SPACED have unleashed their latest single, the ferocious “Pressure.” Clocking in at just under 2 mins, the song packs in as many energy filled riffs, licks and hooks as possible while having an underlying psychedelic texture – another example of SPACED’s self-dubbed “far out hardcore.”

Speaking on the single, vocalist Lexi Reyngoudt explains: “A karmic story/cautionary tale that if you tempt the fates, the universe is going to come back at you. Sometimes these people don’t get found out right away. So if the universe is taking too long with a person like this in your life, listen to this song. The track is us talking back to the people who try to hold us down. The lyrics are repetitive, but that’s what the feeling of pressure is: constantly feeling like something is weighing you down.”

After recently signing to Pure Noise Records, the band have announced their new EP, No Escape, set for release on 17th October 2025. Recorded with producer Jay Zubricky (Every Time I Die, Terror, Age of Apocalypse) the EP is set push their effects-drenched aggression to new heights.

Reyngoudt added that the EP reflects the grind of everyday life while staying grounded in community: “[No Escape is] about feeling suffocated by our everyday lives. We grind and work our jobs while we’re home, and then grind some more out on the road. All of this is happening while the world feels like a daunting thundercloud over our heads. I wrote the lyrics of this album as an outlet to express my current feelings about what is going on. However, while I feel down about things like that, I still feel lucky to be surrounded by the hardcore community and people who will speak up with me.”
