South Arcade Level Up With Explosive New EP PLAY!

South Arcade are done warming up! Their new EP PLAY! is the sound of a band stepping fully into their moment. Dropping via BKM Artists and LAB Records, the five-track release is a high-voltage statement loaded with confidence, emotion, and the razor-sharp melodies that have quickly made the quartet one of the UK’s fastest-rising names.
Packed with fan favourites and fresh cuts, PLAY! brings together recent singles FEAR OF HEIGHTS, Supermodels, and Drive Myself Home alongside two brand new tracks: Bleed Out and Blood Run Warm, both mixed by Adam Hawkins.
Bleed Out hits like an instant live anthem, all teeth-baring hooks and a finale that explodes in full colour. Meanwhile, Blood Run Warm shows South Arcade flexing emotional depth, leaning into vulnerability and haunting atmospherics, signalling just how far the band have evolved.
Speaking on the new EP, the band explain that PLAY! is very much a product of the road: “PLAY! is an EP almost entirely written on the road whilst we’ve been out touring this year! The tracks were inspired by what we think crowds will love live and what we want in our future sets. It’s a super fun EP that shows us trying more genres within the Y2K sphere… The title came from playing all these shows back-to-back and keeping the energy up — whilst also toying with the idea of pressing play on a movie or video game, which is what life feels like right now!”
The release landed right in the middle of their biggest UK & Ireland tour yet, which included a huge headline at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town and if their schedule is anything to go by, South Arcade’s rise is only accelerating, the band are already confirmed for some of 2026’s biggest festival bills, including a massive slot at Download Festival, plus an appearance at TRNSMT Festival.
It caps off a landmark year for the four-piece. Their sold-out US and UK headline tours were matched by huge festival appearances at Slam Dunk and Radio 1’s Big Weekend, and after tearing up the BBC Introducing Stage last year, they returned to Reading & Leeds for a main stage moment.
South Arcade’s fanbase is exploding across socials too, over 19.3 million likes on TikTok, a rapidly growing YouTube following built from rehearsal clips and chaotic live footage, and more than 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Their previous EP 2005 has surged past 50 million streams, fuelled by breakout tracks Stone Cold Summer, MOTH KIDS and HOW 2 GET AWAY WITH MURDER.
If PLAY! proves anything, it’s that South Arcade aren’t just rising they’re levelling up fast. And they’re not hitting pause any time soon.
