SILENT PLANET share huge new single ‘Anunnaki’

The rise of modern metalcore group Silent Planet continues and doesn’t look like it’s stopping any time soon! Following on from the huge success of previous singles Antimatter & Collider and newly announced album “Superbloom” they have now unleashed a new heavy banger entitled “Anunnaki” into the world. The new single was released on the anniversary of their horrific van accident, events of which hugely shaped the creation and themes of the album. Musically the song is a more balls to the wall metal output than the previous singles with crushing riffs and atmospheric instrumentals setting the backdrop for singer Garrett Russel to deliver a powerful and visceral vocal performance.

Speaking on the track Garrett Russell cryptically says, “Something stirs in the forest. Under the smoldering shadow of Mt. Shasta, extending to the forgotten reaches of the Lost Coast. Our footsteps dredged up the last rites of an annihilated people; their suffering-turned curse coalesced into a blighted, blasphemous body. Listen closely. Behind the serene forest song hangs a dissonant note. A blood-thirsting shriek swings in the air, wrapping the fallen boughs of sequoias… resounding through the valley. Descendants of an ancient race — beings crossed between humans and beings from another dimensions – they remain and and hold the memory of the native martyrs. Their presence demands vengeance. They are the forgotten giants. They are the Anunnaki.”
