Saint Agnes Release New Single ‘The Ghost’

London’s genre-defying punks Saint Agnes are back with a new single and video, ‘The Ghost’, the latest glimpse into their upcoming studio album, Your God Fearing Days Are About To Begin, set for release on May 29th, 2026 via Spinefarm Records. Fans can pre-order the record now.
‘The Ghost’ is a collision of industrial beats, pulsating synths, dance fuelled rhythms and hooky vocals. Thamtically frontperson Kitty A. Austen describes it as a reflection on invisibility and feeling lost in the crowd: “I wrote it about often feeling like I disappear, I become invisible in certain settings, certain situations. Words fail me and I merge into the background. I envisioned dancing, surrounded by people, but feeling completely on my own. It’s the soundtrack to a hot, sweaty night in a vampire nightclub, the blood rave just before dawn. Euphoria washes over the bodies as the dark driving beats pulsate through the club. We’ve turned my sadness into a banger and now we can dance to it.”
The band-directed video captures this energy perfectly, conjuring the atmosphere of a “blood rave just before dawn,” where confessional lyrics and dark driving beats transform private pain into communal euphoria.
Your God Fearing Days Are About To Begin promises to be Saint Agnes’ most direct and fully realised record yet, with Kitty and collaborator Jon James Tufnell crafting an immersive, all-consuming sonic world. Mixer Jim Pinder (Sleep Token, Bring Me The Horizon) helped sharpen the album’s impact without diluting its raw intensity. Drawing on influences from Nine Inch Nails, Poppy, and Lorde, the album delivers cinematic storytelling set to throbbing guitars and pulsing beats.
