After a 16-year hiatus, metalcore pioneers Poison the Well are officially back. The band will release their long-awaited new album, Peace in Place, on March 20th via SharpTone Records.
They’ve dropped another taste of what’s to come with the new single “Everything Hurts”, complete with a tense and cinematic music video. The track showcases PTW’s signature quiet/loud dynamics, balancing brooding atmospheres with metallic aggression.
In the video, we follow frontman Jeffrey Moreira in an almost voyeuristic style as tension steadily escalates. Fans are encouraged to keep an eye out for subtle visual easter eggs scattered throughout.
“’Everything Hurts’ is about the patience and effort it takes to keep relationships alive,” Moreira explains. “I care deeply about the people in my life, but even the people you love can be frustrating sometimes. And it’s important to remember that we can be just as frustrating to them. We all have our moments — and I have my moments too. The ones that stick around are the ones you have a unique connection with. You can’t put up with everyone’s shit, so the people you keep close are the ones whose shit you actually want to deal with.”
Alongside the album news, PTW have also announced their US Spring 2026 headline tour, with support from Converge, Balmora, SPY, The Armed, and The Barbarians of California across various dates. Tickets and full details are available on the band’s website.
