Pendulum Unleash New Single “Cannibal” Featuring Wargasm

The genre-mashing drum & bass titans Pendulum have dropped “Cannibal”, a chaotic new single featuring Wargasm. It’s the latest preview of their long-awaited new album Inertia, out August 22nd via Mushroom Music – their first full-length in over 15 years.

Explosive, filthy, and primed for the festival main stage, “Cannibal” is a feral synth-driven anthem that sees Pendulum delivering their signature sound with Wargasm’s trademark dual vocal chaotic energy colliding with Rob Swire’s razor-sharp production.

I’d been listening to them for ages,” Rob says of teaming up with Wargasm. “When we finally met, I asked about their influences – and as soon as they started talking, it felt familiar. Atari Teenage Riot, The Prodigy, all that stuff. Even though our sounds are pretty different, it was clear we came from the same place.”

Recorded in their London studio and co-produced by Swire and Owen Charles, Inertia is shaping up to be Pendulum’s most personal and sonically aggressive record yet. Clocking in at 16 tracks, the album features a stacked guest list including Bullet For My Valentine, AWOLNATION, Scarlxrd, Joey Valence & Brae, Hybrid Minds, and of course, Wargasm. Fans of 2021’s Elemental and 2023’s Anima EPs will recognise the evolution – this is Pendulum entering a new era.

To celebrate the album’s release, Pendulum will headline the iconic Milton Keynes Bowl on August 9th. A string of intimate UK outstore shows follows in September – a rare chance to see the band up close before they head out on a full EU tour this winter.
