ORIGAMI ANGEL release two new singles ‘Sixth Cents (Get It?)’ and ‘secondgradefoofight’

Continuing their pattern of the double music video release, exciting modern emo duo Origami Angel have dropped two new songs “Sixth Cents (Get It?)” and “secondgradefoofight.”. The tracks, which are taken from their third LP, “Feeling Not Found”, (out on 27th September), showcase their influences from the high energy pop punk and emo to angsty hardcore.

Speaking on the release vocalist/guitarist Ryland Heagy says: “Sixth Cents (Get It?)” uses angsty hardcore to cut through with sharp and necessary commentary on the music industry. “When you love your job so much that you would do it for free, you can get taken advantage of by corporate greed””

“The music industry can be a winding roller coaster, spinning you in directions you can’t predict. The wholesome, artistic nature of your work is constantly in a tug-of-war with the necessity to produce profit for yourself and others. Many artists have the bulk of their income taken away by predatory labels. This song comes from a place of frustration, and is almost laughing at the industry speak that comes from the powers that be.”

The accompanying double music video, directed by Britain Weyant, that finds the duo attempting their own fever dream version of their favourite videos from Green Day, Phoebe Bridgers, Modern Baseball, Taking Back Sunday, Smashing Pumpkins, and Foo Fighters.
