Fresh off his Glastonbury debut – where he tore up not one, but two stages and supporting the legendary letlive. for their emotional farewell shows at London’s Electric Ballroom, Grime-metal powerhouse Native James is back with his explosive genre-crossing new single “GTFU”. The song is a nu-metal infused rap anthem that has shades or Korn and Limp Bizkit mixed with trap beats, slick rap flow and even some reggae influences thrown in for good measure.

“I wanted a high energy track where the crowd can get involved and let themselves go,” Native explains. “Mixed in with cryptic lyrics about some of my past. I wanted to make a dark subject come to life, and bring energy to the soul whenever you listen to it.”

Catch Native James Live:

  • 2 August – Crash The Stage, Cornwall
  • 3 August – Multitude Festival, Milton Keynes

  • 30 August – Burn It Down Festival, Torquay

  • 6 September – Decolonise Festival, London

  • 12 September – Hot Box, Chelmsford (headline show)
