Without warning, Malevolence have released their brand-new single ‘Silhouette’, kicking off a fresh chapter in their career as fully independent artists under their own MLVLTD MUSIC imprint.

While MALEVOLENCE have occasionally explored softer sounds, ‘Silhouette’ represents a bold departure from the ferocious mosh-ready tracks they’re known for. Released just in time for Valentine’s Day, the single is a brooding, soul-stirring ballad that sees delicate guitars and bluesy licks erupt into a towering, sombre chorus. Frontman Konan Hall delivers what the band are calling a career-best vocal performance, putting the focus firmly on emotion over aggression.

“Surprise! This one is for the lovers,” the band say. “Go listen to our brand new single on all streaming services this Valentine’s weekend, released independently on our very own label MLVLTD MUSIC. We’ve flirted with ballads before, but this one feels like a real step outside our comfort zone of aggressive mosh parts and breakdowns. It’s nice to get vulnerable for once, flex our songwriting muscles and show the world that we have much more to offer as musicians than what might meet the eye.”

‘Silhouette’ is just the beginning for MALEVOLENCE in 2026. The band are set to appear at Slam Dunk Festival 2026, sharing the stage with Knocked Loose, Bury Tomorrow, President, Guilt Trip, and more. This year’s festival, celebrating its 20th anniversary on May 23–24, will feature two heavy stages for the first time, reflecting the growing prominence of metal on the bill.
