LØLØ Shares Brutally Honest New Single “the punisher”

Pop-rock firebrand LØLØ has unveiled her biting new single “the punisher,” the latest taste of her forthcoming album god forbid a girl spits out her feelings, arriving April 17 via Fearless Records.
Following the momentum of her recent single 007, the new track pushes LØLØ’s trademark emotional candour even further. “the punisher” leans into a raw alt-rock edge while expanding the diaristic world she’s been building around brutally honest storytelling. Her vocal performance swings between tightly controlled restraint and explosive release, mirroring the emotional whiplash at the core of the track.
Speaking about the song, LØLØ explained that it taps into the painfully relatable habit of post-breakup social media spirals.
“‘the punisher’ is about that sick twisted ritual we all do after a breakup: stalking your ex on the internet (and their new girlfriend…and her sister…and her sister’s boyfriend…and yes, even the new girlfriend’s sister’s dog) even though you KNOW it’s going to ruin your entire day,” she said. “I wrote it during a moment where I caught myself doing exactly that.”
As she continued piecing together her ex’s new life through photos online, the singer realised she’d fallen into a strange cycle of emotional self-sabotage.
“I couldn’t understand why I felt addicted to punishing myself,” she added. “It was almost like some part of me weirdly enjoyed it… I found myself looking forward to checking in almost every day, playing his new life out in my head.”
The single deepens the narrative of radical honesty that defines god forbid a girl spits out her feelings. While LØLØ’s debut album wrestled with the urge to numb difficult emotions, this new era embraces every messy, intrusive thought head-on.
Across the upcoming 13-track record, the artist strips things back sonically while amplifying her sharp-tongued humour, unfiltered emotions, and fearless self-expression. Fans can also expect previously released favourites including the devil wears converse, american zombie, and me with no shirt on.
To celebrate the album’s release, LØLØ will also be heading to the UK for a run of live dates this May, including a headline show at Electric Ballroom.
