Metal titans LAMB OF GOD have officially inked a deal with Century Media Records, marking the start of a new era for the Richmond heavyweights. To celebrate their new label home, the band has dropped “Sepsis”, a blistering, groove-laden sonic assault that marks their first original release since 2022 album Omens.

Produced by longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur, “Sepsis” channels everything that makes LAMB OF GOD a defining force in modern metal – crushing riffs, razor-sharp precision, and an undercurrent of seething intensity.

Guitarist Mark Morton describes the track as a tribute to Richmond’s underground scene that birthed the band: “’Sepsis’ is a celebration of the very underground local bands here in Richmond that we really admired when we were just forming Burn the Priest,” Morton explains. “Bands like Breadwinner, Sliang Laos, and Ladyfinger—though they never got widespread attention outside of Richmond, those were the bands we listened to all the time. The song references that stuff in a way that’s a direct line to where we were coming from when we were in the basement writing our earliest material together.”

The release caps off a monumental year for the band. In 2025, LAMB OF GOD marked the 25th anniversary of their discography with their “Back to the Beginning” concert, dropped a thunderous cover of Black Sabbath’s “Children of the Grave”, and dominated stages at Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life, and a sold-out headline show at Richmond’s new Allianz Amphitheater.

As 2025 winds down, the band shows no sign of slowing. LAMB OF GOD will hit the seas once again for the Headbangers Boat (Oct 31–Nov 4), a four-day cruise from Miami to Cozumel, featuring a stacked lineup including Clutch, Kublai Khan TX, Power Trip, Fear Factory, Obituary, The Black Dahlia Murder, and more.

And for UK fans not ready to set sail, the band will bring the chaos to Bloodstock Open Air next summer, headlining the Friday night on 7th August 2026 – their only UK festival appearance announced so far.
