Bloodsoaked metal powerhouses ICE NINE KILLS revealed their new single ‘The Great Unknown’ – A punchy, uptempo song that catches the attention of the listener from the get go. Accompanied by an equally captivating and energetic video, which finds the band stepping into the simulated and dystopian world of the Matrix, with many references to the franchise that even a cinematic rookie couldn’t miss. Watch the official music video for ‘The Great Unknown’ here.

ICE NINE KILLS are no strangers to grabbing the audiences attention with their performances, and ‘The Great Unknown’ ought to be no different. With INK already pairing their stage performances with theatrical elements, fans will surely be eagerly anticipating the Matrix styled routines that accompany “The Great Unknown” in a live setting.

With strange brewing in the shadows of the internet, it all came to a head with the release of “The Great Unknown.” For weeks, whispers turned to hysteria, as fans obsessed over the increasingly bizarre behavior of frontman Spencer Charnas. What started as an apparent PR stumble, twisted into full-blown digital paranoia, as his cryptic posts grew more surreal. Theories exploded: had Spencer been swapped for some buggy, bleeding edge AI? ICE NINE KILLS thus far, haven’t made a comment on the speculations, leaving fans to continue to be shrouded in the mystery. Whether this is marketing genius or something far weirder, one thing’s certain: the truth is still buried, and the mystery refuses to die.

 A statement from Charnas reads:

“‘The Great Unknown’ optimises aggression and melody in a format our core user base consistently engages with. This audio file represents a genre expansion protocol, targeting action and sci-fi verticals proven effective via cross-platform sentiment analysis. ‘The Great Unknown’ is designed to seamlessly interface with current simulation conditions, as categorical boundaries between fact and fiction, organic and synthetic, continue to experience accelerated erosion.”

With the new release gaining traction, fans must be hopeful to hear “The Great Unknown” performed on ICE NINE KILLS upcoming ‘A Work Of Art’ tour across the world. With a huge American tour spanning across August and September, followed by a European tour shortly after that kicks off in Germany on the 2nd November and carries them across countries such as France, Italy, Switzerland, and many more. Finally touching down in the UK in December for shows in Manchester, Glasgow, Nottingham, and London, this year is sure to be packed with enough dates (and enough countries) for everyone to be able to see ICE NINE KILLS in all their glory.
