I Prevail Unleash Album “Violent Nature” & Drop Video for “Pray”

Two-time GRAMMY-nominated heavyweights I Prevail have officially dropped their long-awaited new record, Violent Nature, via Fearless Records and it’s already shaping up to be their boldest statement yet. Alongside the album release, the band have revealed a gripping new video for the focus track “Pray.”

“Pray” is a perfect showcase of what Violent Nature is all about starting with haunting acoustics before exploding into chaos. The track swings between fragile vulnerability and punishing aggression, with soaring choruses and a crushing bridge that underline the band’s signature duality.

“’Pray’’ is one of my favourite songs on this record. It’s about the moment when someone close to you burns you, and then has the nerve to feel sorry for you. This song is about letting go of that pity, realising you are better off without them,” shares frontmanEric Vanlerberghe.

Violent Nature marks a major evolution for I Prevail. For the first time, Vanlerberghe takes full control of both clean and screamed vocals, pushing the band’s sound into fresh territory. Produced by bassist Jon Eberhard, the record strips things back to the core five members, capturing a raw, authentic energy.

’Violent Nature’ is our favourite album to date,” adds Vanlerberghe. “We wanted to create something authentic that could only come from the members in the band as a collective. There were no outside producers or writers involved. Just us 5 sitting in a room together. We believe that this is the most cohesive I Prevail record we’ve ever created. Heavy parts getting heavier and melodic parts getting catchier. We can’t wait to share what we’ve created with the world. We absolutely love it and we hope that you do as well.”

Since breaking through with their debut Lifelines (2016), I Prevail have consistently defied expectations. Their 2019 follow-up TRAUMA earned GRAMMY nominations for Best Rock Album and Best Metal Performance (“Bow Down”), while 2022’s TRUE POWER cemented their reputation as one of modern heavy music’s most fearless bands. Violent Nature is another step forward, it’s heavier, catchier, and more uncompromising than ever.
