One of our ones to watch Cambridgeshire’s alt-metal trailblazers HRTLSS are back with their huge new single, ‘To Dust’, a track that collides elements of modern metal, alternative and R&B with smooth vocals, atmospheric electronics and thick riffs. It’s a sound that is designed for the big stages and one that will only build their reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting new bands.
Speaking on the single, HRTLSS explained: “‘To Dust’ is us holding a mirror up to the darkest parts of ourselves. It’s about recognising how destructive cycles can consume everything you love, and turning that honesty into something both crushing and cathartic. This song feels like the real beginning of HRTLSS.”
The band enlisted Nathan Smart and George Lever (Sleep Token, Loathe, Breakk.Away) to helm production and mixing, while director Zak Pinchin (Holding Absence, Bury Tomorrow, PRESIDENT) brings the track’s haunting visual narrative to life in a “The Haunting of Hill House” inspired music video:
