HERIOT Unleash Crushing New Single ‘Commander of Pain’

One of the UK’s most exciting new heavy bands HERIOT, have returned with their latest single, ‘Commander of Pain’, a track the band describe as “an ode to 90’s death metal.”

Vocalist and guitarist Debbie Gough explains: “‘Commander of Pain’ is a song born of the inspiration we’ve gained from playing live alongside many different genres of metal bands. We wanted to write a track paying tribute to our favourite aspects of heavy music.”

The single sees HERIOT doubling down on the ferocity and technicality that’s made them one of the UK’s most talked-about new acts. The track was produced by Erik Bickerstaffe of Loathe and mixed and mastered by Randy LeBoeuf (Kublai Khan, Loathe, Gideon, The Acacia Strain), giving it a colossal, crushing sound.

HERIOT are currently embarking on their first North American tour, supporting Trivium alongside Jinjer. UK fans won’t be left waiting either: early 2026 will see the band support progressive metal legends SikTh for two special shows celebrating the 20th anniversary of Death Of A Dead Day.
