Hatebreed Return With Crushing New Single “Make The Demons Obey”

Hardcore legends Hatebreed are officially back and heavier than ever. The Grammy-nominated Connecticut bruisers have unleashed their first new track since 2020 – the seismic “Make The Demons Obey” and it doesn’t disappoint.
Landing like a boot to the chest, the single blends everything fans have come to expect from Hatebreed: pure PMA energy, stage-diving riffs, vicious breakdowns, and a rallying cry tailor-made for the mosh pit. It marks the band’s first new music since their 2020 album Weight Of The False Self, and according to frontman Jamey Jasta, it might just be their most savage yet.
“Lots of bands say that their newest release will be their heaviest and I guess we are no different,” Jasta says, “We’ve managed to push the envelope and surpass our expectations. We’ve become tighter, harder and more vicious than ever. This is the most excited I’ve been for any Hatebreed release.”
“Very exciting things are happening in the Hatebreed camp,” states drummer Matt Byrne. “It’s time to unleash this beast — new music is here! This is the fastest, most vicious, and most aggressive music we have ever created and I’m pumped for the world to hear it.”
Currently operating independently, Hatebreed are self-funding their upcoming album and plan to drop more singles throughout the year. A full-length is in the works, but for now, fans can feast on the new track and catch them live.
The band’s guitarist Wayne Lozinak is currently recovering from surgery to remove a benign brain tumour discovered during their European tour — thankfully, he’s expected to make a full return.
Hatebreed are currently on the road on the Summer Slaughter tour across the U.S. before they return to the UK and Ireland this October as special guests to Killswitch Engage, alongside Fit For An Autopsy and Decapitated, for a nine-date run.
