Good Charlotte Return With New Single “Rejects” & Announce New Album “Motel Du Cap”

Pop-punk royalty Good Charlotte are officially back. The multi-platinum rock icons have announced their long-awaited eighth studio album Motel Du Cap, set for release on 8th August via Atlantic Records. Pre-orders are live now, and to kick things off, the band have dropped a fierce new single Rejects, alongside an official video.

This marks Good Charlotte’s first album in seven years, following 2018’s Generation Rx. Motel Du Cap promises a return to the band’s raw, emotionally charged roots—an album shaped by personal reflection and pure creative freedom. Inspired by an intimate performance at a friend’s wedding at the picturesque Hotel du Cap in France, the record channels the spirit of that night. “It was this wild, once-in-a-lifetime vibe,” Joel Madden recalls. “We were just there to celebrate, no pressure, and it reminded us why we started this—pure, unfiltered connection.”

Lead single Rejects is a gritty, defiant anthem crafted for the outsiders—a classic GC statement of rebellion and identity, delivered with sharp 2025 energy. Produced by Jordan Fish (ex-Bring Me The Horizon) and Zakk Cervini (Blink-182, Yungblud), the track is a powerful co-write between Fish, Cervini, and the Madden brothers.

The music video, directed by Erik Rojas and Lenna Onto, is a stylised blend of live performance and stop-motion animation. It follows a claymation protagonist navigating the pressures of growing up, echoing the band’s own evolution, and culminating in a high-energy performance from Good Charlotte themselves.
