Brighton’s rising trio EVILLE are kicking down the door with their new single “Accidents Happen”. This release is the final track on their debut EP BRAT METAL, a messy, confident collision of hyper-feminine energy and a ferocious modern metal sound. “Accidents Happen” is the EP’s grand finale, burning with anger, betrayal and a touch of bratty revenge.
“Accidents happen is the grand finale of the EP that makes the whole project go out with a bratty bang.” says vocalist Eva Sheldrake, “This song is filled with feelings of anger and betrayal based off painful real life experiences the band were facing at the time. The chorus sings all about the eerie concept of not wanting to intentionally hurt someone who’s done you wrong, but then again who’s to say you can’t “accidentally” get them back. The song is an ever evolving thing, constantly switching up and changing dramatically as the song progresses, you won’t know what to expect next with accidents happen which is what makes it such a unique track and a definite stand out moment on the EP.”
It’s a track that shape-shifts constantly, pulling you through heavy riffs and unexpected twists. Essentially it’s exactly what EVILLE are all about.
Their unique sound is already making waves, with early acclaim from BBC Radio 1’s Alyx Holcombe, who named them Track of the Week twice and featured them in her Ones To Watch for 2025.
After storming the stages at Reading & Leeds, 2000trees and Burn It Down this summer, and sharing lineups with WARGASM (UK), Delilah Bon, and RedHook, the band are making it very clear: brat metal isn’t a phase, it’s here to stay.
