Employed To Serve Release Title Track From Upcoming Album ‘Fallen Star’

British metal powerhouses Employed To Serve have dropped their latest single, Fallen Star, the title track from their upcoming album, set for release on April 25th via Spinefarm Records.

Speaking on the song frontwoman Justine Jones shares: “It can be devastating to look on helplessly as someone you care for continues to fly too close to the sun and not learn from it. Sometimes you need to just distance yourself and love them from afar. We felt it should be the title track as it thematically centers around the lyrics of the new record. Breaking bad habits and overcoming the challenges life throws our way.”

Accompanying the single is a striking official music video, shot in front of an impressive video wall. Jones adds, “The music video displays the space and isolation felt whilst writing the lyrics for this song. As the title track, we wanted to make the video look as expansive and ethereal as the song.”

Following their critically acclaimed 2021 album Conquering, Fallen Star is poised to be an 11-track tour-de-force, pushing the band’s sonic boundaries further. Produced and mixed by Lewis Johns, the record boasts guest appearances from metal heavyweights, including Killswitch Engage’s Jesse Leach on Whose Side Are You On? and Svalbard’s Serena Cherry on Last Laugh.

Guitarist and songwriter Sammy Urwin highlights their mission with this record: “We want to fly the flag for heavy metal and the traditions that it holds, but at the same time, we want to play our part in taking things forward.”

To mark the album’s release, Employed To Serve will embark on a UK headline tour in April 2025, bringing Celestial Sanctuary and Burner along for the ride. The five-date tour will culminate in their biggest London show to date at O2 Academy Islington.
