DISTANT Release New Single ‘Torturous Symphony’ featuring Matthew K. Heafy
Dutch/Slovakian deathcore powerhouse DISTANT have released their latest single, ‘Torturous Symphony,’ featuring Trivium frontman Matthew K. Heafy. The song delivers a crushing array of detuned mayhem, with plenty of deathcore riffing, guttural vocals and rapid drums that cut through like a knife, all topped off with the visceral screams from Heafy.
“This song offers an exciting glimpse into our artistic growth and sets the stage for our most ambitious album to date,” said the band in a recent statement.

In celebration of their 10-year anniversary, DISTANT will release “Tsukuyomi: The Origin,” an expanded and reimagined version of their debut EP, “Tsukuyomi,” on November 22, 2024, via Century Media. This new release features seven brand new tracks alongside six revamped versions of previous songs, weaving a comprehensive tale that explores the lore behind their lyrics and the band’s origins.
“Tsukuyomi: The Origin” isn’t just a standard remaster; it’s a complete overhaul of the original songs to reflect DISTANT’s current sound and vision. “We wanted to ensure that these tracks get the attention they deserve,” the band stated. The album will include guest features from notable artists such as Alex Erian of Despised Icon, David Simonich of Signs Of The Swarm, and Travis Worland of Enterprise Earth.
