Austin, Texas quartet Colorblind have announced their brand-new EP Who Sold You This Truth, set for release September 12 via Solid State Records. To mark the news, the band have unleashed their haunting new single “Neversleep”, a track packed with towering emotion and immersive soundscapes.
“‘Neversleep’ is about caring so much it wrecks you,” explains vocalist Travis Moseley. “They leave, but you’re the one stuck with all the noise, the emptiness, the overthinking… and no matter what you do, you can’t turn it off.”
With their mix of crushing riffs, groove-laden rhythms and soaring melodies, Colorblind have already racked up over 48 million Spotify streams, 20 million of those in the past year alone. Who Sold You This Truth marks their debut EP for Solid State/Tooth & Nail, blending widescreen dynamics with visceral, heart-on-sleeve lyricism.
Moseley adds: “We’ve been wrestling with who we want to be sonically, because we have a huge array of things we want to do. How do we condense all of those things down into one sound? We don’t even know who we’re supposed to be, and that’s the fun of it.”
