coldrain Announce New EP ‘OPTIMIZE’ & Share Live Video of ‘CHASING SHADOWS’

Japanese rock powerhouse coldrain are back with big news: the band will release their brand new EP, ‘OPTIMIZE’, on October 24th, 2025 via Century Media Records. The announcement comes alongside the band’s ONE MAN JAPAN TOUR 2025 “OPTIMIZE”, which kicks off this September and hits six major cities across Japan before heading to the UK and Europe in late November.

Ahead of the EP’s release, coldrain have treated fans to a live video of their latest single ‘CHASING SHADOWS’, filmed during their set at Summer Breeze Open Air Festival in Germany this August.

Vocalist Masato shared his excitement about the release and live shows: “We’re beyond excited to finally announce our new five track EP ‘OPTIMIZE’ is coming out this Oct! Also since we had such an incredible time in Germany last month we wanted share with you a part of that memory. Go watch us play our brand new single ‘CHASING SHADOWS’ at Summer Breeze! The EP follows coldrain’s recent singles ‘INCOMPLETE’ and ‘CHASING SHADOWS’, and promises a powerful mix of anthemic, hard hitting tracks.
