Capstan release 80s inspired new single ‘What You Want’

Florida post-hardcore five-piece CAPSTAN have just released a brand new single and video for ‘What You Want’ which is taken from their recently announced new album The Mosaic, set for release on 24th May 2024 via Fearless Records. The song takes a complete left turn from their metalcore sound of previous singles with an 80s influenced pop rock anthem with driving drums, synths, smooth catchy vocal melodies and even saxophone solo thrown in for good measure, there’s also an appearance from Broadside’s Oliver Baxxter with some guest vocals. It might not be heavy on the riffs or breakdowns but it’s heavy of the vibes and would be the perfect, top down sunset drive soundtrack.

Speaking on the song the band says: “Perhaps an unexpected tune from Capstan, ‘What You Want’ pokes fun at coming to terms with some surprising and difficult truths about the music industry… Still, ever earnest, this song is a commitment to what Capstan is and always will be, and a pledge to our most loyal fans.”
