Broadside Share New Single “Control Freak”

Richmond, Virginia alt-rock outfit Broadside have unveiled their latest single, Control Freak, offering another glimpse into their forthcoming album Nowhere, At Last, set for release on April 10, 2026 via Thriller Records.
Following the release of the album’s announcement single Dark Passenger earlier this year, Control Freak sees the band diving deeper into the emotional weight and tension that shapes the upcoming record. The track confronts the reality of emotional manipulation, capturing the moment when clarity breaks through denial and the illusion of control begins to unravel.
Speaking about the new single, vocalist Oliver Baxxter explains: “It’s about being controlled by someone else, and slowly realizing how much of yourself you’ve handed over. The quiet violence of being told it’s all in your head.”
With Nowhere, At Last arriving in April, Control Freak continues to hint at a darker, more introspective chapter for the band, blending the melodic alt-rock sound Broadside have become known for with a sharper emotional edge.
Alongside the album’s release, the band are preparing to hit the road throughout North America and Europe this spring. They’ll join The Maine, Nightly, and Grayscale for several North American dates before heading overseas for a co-headline European run with Hands Like Houses. UK fans will also be able to catch the band at this year’s Slam Dunk Festival.
