BLACKGOLD Release Matrix Inspired Video For ‘Social Blackout’

Modern Nu-Metal kings Blackgold are taking it back to ’99 with their latest music video for ‘Social Blackout’ as they don black trench coats in a Matrix inspired digital landscape. The video is a play on the lyrical theme of the song which takes aim at the effects social media has on people, often displaying a false reality to the one they live in. Musically the song delivers everything Blackgold do best with head banging riffs, slick rap flows, bizkit style adlibs and plenty of DJ scratches.
Speaking on the song frontman Spookz says: “People are so addicted to having a good social media presence that they forget to be present in the room they are in, it’s like we are all looking for likes and stimulation through a screen just like the matrix. It’s a scary time for humanity, we need to connect in person, we need a social media blackout to remember who we are.”
