BABYMETAL Drop New Single ‘from me to u’ Featuring Poppy
BABYMETAL are charging into a new era with METAL FORTH, their just-announced album due this June—and they’ve given us another taste of it with a thunderous new single, ‘from me to u’ featuring Poppy.
The ferocious J-pop meets metal track sees the Japanese kawaii metal icons team up with Poppy for a high-energy, futuristic assault on the senses. “I have been a fan of BABYMETAL for years and I am so happy for this song to finally be here!” says Poppy. “They have inspired me so much, enjoy ‘from me to u’!”
BABYMETAL added, “A kawaii metal song was born from a collaboration between BABYMETAL and Poppy! Check out Poppy’s shouts and BABYMETAL’s dance in the Neo Tokyo setting! Kawaii is sprinkled throughout the intense sound! Kimi ni todoke!”
The song arrives alongside a visually stunning video set in a dystopian, neon-drenched Tokyo, packed with intricate choreography, digital chaos and a surreal climax that sees Poppy transform into a dragon rising from the ruins.
METAL FORTH lands on June 13th and features a star studded list of guest collaborators including Spiritbox, Tom Morello, Bloodywood, Polyphia, Slaughter To Prevail, and Electric Callboy—whose viral collab ‘RATATATA’ already racked up millions of streams.
Celebrating their 15th anniversary this year, BABYMETAL revealed the album on their ‘FOX DAY’ (April 1st), along with the ‘LEGEND MAP’—a mysterious visual roadmap of the band’s 2025 plans, including new music and a massive world tour.
This spring, BABYMETAL will embark on their UK and European arena headline tour, joined by Poppy and rising star Bambie Thug. Immediately after, they launch their biggest North American tour to date, the 24-date trek will feature support from Black Veil Brides, Jinjer and Bloodywood.
The band will also play arena shows across Japan and Asia later this year.
