LIKE MOTHS TO FLAMES release new single ‘Dissociative Being’

Less than a month away from US metalcore group Like Moths To Flames’ new album “THE CYCLES OF TRYING TO COPE”, which is set for a May 10th release via UNFD and they are dropping the singles thick and now they have released the fourth taste of the record with single ‘Dissociative Being’. The song demonstrates the bands ability to craft a well balanced mix of heaviness with melody as chunky detuned riffs are interlaced between atmospheric textures and melodic hooks. Each single the band have dropped so far is part of the over arching story behind the album which is split between multiple “cycle’s” with ‘Dissociative Being’ part of “Cycle Three: Disassociate.”

Speaking on the song the band says: “Blood leaves a stain that’s often hard to remove, much like the scars that people leave when they’re destructive with their life… This song is about someone who’s destroyed everything they had left and being so parasitic with their life that it bleeds into the lives of others.”

Speaking on the album singer Chris Roetter shares, “The record encapsulates the many varying emotions we go through when trying to grow through life. The last few years, I really tried to harness some of those emotions as a catalyst to get through whatever I was going through at the time. I think we all have our own unique ways to cope and these are mine.”
