Knocked Loose release new single & music video for ‘Suffocate’ featuring Poppy

It’s a collaboration we didn’t know that we needed – Poppy is back with another metalcore guest appearing on the brand new Knocked Loose single ‘Suffocate’. Album number three ‘You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To’ is set to be released on May 10th and to prepare they’ve came in strong with this single really raising the bar for what’s to come on the rest of the record.

The single is exactly what you expect and love from Knocked Loose;  the tracked is layered with chaos, in your face riffs and a breakdown that quite simply blows everything else out the water. The introduction of Poppy takes things to a whole new level. Her vocals are piercing showing just how powerful her range is, her screams set a tone that she is here to stake her claim in the scene.

The collaboration inspired the band to venture into uncharted realms, which finds Garris and Poppy trading verses about, as Garris puts it, “someone stabbing you in the back.” “It was so fun because her voice allowed us to expand our palette and do some weird, off-the-wall things that we maybe wouldn’t do in another song,” guitarist Isaac Hale says of the track. “We felt that because we had Poppy’s voice involved, it allowed us to kind of push the boundaries of what we thought was feasible.”

The single comes with a solid video that brings out the intensity of the track. A close up of the guitar riff leading up to the iconic screams of Bryan Garris. The appearance of Poppy fits the scene perfectly. You can watch the music video below:
