Yours Truly release new single ‘Call My Name’

 

 

Sydney alternative band Yours Truly are back with fresh new single ‘Call My Name’ kicking off the next chapter for the Aussies following up their 2022 EP “Is this what I look like?”. The highly anticipated new music see’s singer Mikaila Delgado sounding more formidable than ever before, showcasing her sleek sharp vocal stylings backed by huge driving guitars. It’s a different approach compared to previous tracks but an excellent and fresh new direction for the band.

Mikaila talks about how the track is about internal struggles of being addicted to a person that you know is bad for you. “You turn away from all their red flags because you have so much hope that they can be the person you created in your dreams. You defend them and begin to blame yourself. I realised that we as people crave acceptance from the people who make us feel we are not enough and on the other side some people use that power to their advantage. At the end of the day you realise some things aren’t meant to be and you need to make peace with that.”
