We Came As Romans Return With New Single “Bad Luck”

Metalcore mainstays We Came As Romans have kicked off 2025 with a bang, dropping a storming new single titled “Bad Luck”. Their first release since 2022’s Darkbloom, “Bad Luck” sees the Michigan crew lean deeper into their signature blend of crushing riffs, cinematic choruses, and emotionally raw lyrics. The track opens with a haunting vocal loop before slamming into gear with punchy guitars and a hook that feels tailor-made for festival stages.

Speaking on the new track, frontman Dave Stephens shares: “Bad Luck is a song that is so important to each of us. Lyrically, it’s about our journey as a band since the very beginning. We’ve faced so many setbacks and problems behind the scenes, and sometimes it feels like Bad Luck is all we have — but the way that we’ve persevered through all of them to become who we are today is the real story, not the issues along the way.

For a band that’s been through more than most — from lineup changes to the tragic loss of co-vocalist Kyle Pavone in 2018 — “Bad Luck” isn’t just a song; it’s a defiant middle finger to fate and a reminder of the band’s continued evolution and resilience.

We Came As Romans are loading up the tour bus this summer for a string of massive US festival appearances, including the newly revived Warped Tour, Welcome to Rockville, and When We Were Young.

2025 Festival Appearances:

  • May 8–11 – Welcome to Rockville, Daytona Beach, FL

  • July 19–21 – Inkcarceration Festival, Mansfield, OH

  • August 1–3 – Warped Tour (Location TBA)

  • September 26–28 – Louder Than Life, Louisville, KY

  • October 18–19 – When We Were Young, Las Vegas, NV
