One of the UK’s hottest prospects to emerge last year unpeople have revealed the details of their debut self titled EP and have released a brand new single taken from it entitled ‘waste’. The song merges a plethora of styles into an expertly crafted package full of riffs, melodic hooks, head nod inducing grooves and heavy flourishes. Speaking on the lyrical themes of the new single, the band say: “waste is essentially a ‘government bad’ song in THE most apathetic way possible. Feeling completely helpless while watching public services being decimated with zero signs of remorse or self awareness from those in positions of power.
There is an element of Brexit inspired self inflicted wounds. People lapping up what was essentially propaganda then complaining when they get what they voted for. I know it’s not my place to say…I’m no expert…but you can’t deny the irreparable damage that has been and will continue to be caused.
We’re going to waste it all away.”
It’s another exciting release from the four piece and with their EP set for release on the 19th April via SharpTone Records, we can expect to see and hear a lot more from them in the years to come. Watch the music video here:
