TX2 Unleashes New Single ‘Pickup Truck’
TX2 is back with a brand new single, returning with the explosive and unapologetic nu-metal anthem ‘Pickup Truck’. The track follows the release of TX2’s critically acclaimed debut album End Of Us, which arrived earlier this year via Hopeless Records, and sees Evan Thomas leaning even further into the raw chaos and confrontational energy that has made him one of alternative music’s most talked-about rising names.
Speaking about the new single, Evan Thomas shares: “Pickup truck is an ironic song we wrote that’s really a fuck you to everyone. I stopped caring about how people would interpret my song, and focused more on what I wanted to say. Is this song about a pick up truck? Maybe. Or is it a deeper message. Up to you.”
Over the last few years, TX2 has steadily built momentum across the alternative scene, earning praise and support from some of heavy music’s biggest names. Caleb Shomo of Beartooth has publicly praised TX2’s “passion, hard work, and talent,” while collaborations with artists across the scene have helped cement his growing reputation.
Tracks including ‘MAD’ featuring Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills and ‘THIS ISN’T ABOUT DRUGS (I SWEAR)’ with From First to Last have resonated strongly with fans online, with ‘MAD’ alone generating tens of thousands of TikTok creations.
Released earlier this year, End Of Us showcased the full scope of TX2’s sound, combining fan favourites with new material into a bold debut statement. The album features tracks including ‘The Rain’, ‘HOSTAGE (they will not erase us)’, ‘Feed’ featuring DeathbyRomy, and ‘Nice Guy’ featuring Ekoh, alongside collaborations with Magnolia Park.
Outside of music, TX2 has also built a deeply connected fan community through the X Movement, a Discord-based space focused on supporting mental health and creating safer spaces within alternative music. Through daily livestreams, post-show meet-and-greets, and outspoken advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, TX2 has become both a divisive and important voice within the modern rock scene.
The artist also has a packed touring schedule ahead throughout 2026. Following a recent US headline tour and an Australian run alongside Rain City Drive and Melrose Avenue, TX2 is currently touring with Black Veil Brides before heading across Europe for a huge summer festival run.
Upcoming appearances include Download Festival, Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, Rock for People, Nova Rock Festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, Jera On Air, and Vainstream Rockfest.
