One of the UK’s finest and busiest touring bands around Trash Boast have returned with a brand new single entitled ‘Delusions of Grandeur’. The track is their first new music since the critically acclaimed, ‘Don’t You Feel Amazing?’ in 2021 and it packs a punch! Long gone is the pop punk sound of old, Trash Boat have evolved into a full on alt rock powerhouse with huge crunched up riffs, ear worming melodies & instrumentation packed full of energy topped off with Tobi Duncans dynamically impressive range of vocals. “Delusions Of Grandeur” is raw, uncompromising and exciting rock music and if this is a message of intent, the future of Trash Boat is looking bright!

Speaking on the themes of the song Tobi Duncan says “Delusions Of Grandeur” “is about recognising that we are all so obsessed with the next achievement in life, that we forget that our brains are wired to only really NEED the essentials – water, sleep and companionship. Our brains are biological organisms that are perfectly happy with simplicity. We’ve created this idea of success and it traps us into thinking we can’t be ‘happy’ until we have the next thing – a car, a house, money, selling out the next biggest venue, impressing someone more well connected, getting your foot in a bigger door. These are the delusions of grandeur we all share. The song is a reflection of this grind and a reminder to take stock of what you have and realise that it’s already enough, the rest is just a bonus.”
