UK rock outfit Tigercub are gearing up for their upcoming fourth studio album “Nets To Catch The Wind,” which is set for release on April 10 via Loosegroove Records and have dropped the video for their new single A Black Moon’.

The new single is the final preview of the album before its release and delivers what frontman Jamie Hall describes as “classic Tigercub”. The track is a moody rock anthem, with crunched up riffs, haunting melodies and head bang inducing grooves.

Weeping moons, weaving looms, poison, burning skies,” Hall explains. “It’s ritualistic imagery that reflects deep emotional tension. The production leans into repetition and circular guitar motifs.”

The band have also launched an immersive ARG-style website filled with cryptic clues across their social media channels, with fans racing to solve the puzzles and claim prizes as quickly as possible.

The upcoming album was tracked over nine days at the legendary Rockfield Studios, the same studio that hosted iconic recordings by artists such as Queen, Rush, and Oasis. Across Nets To Catch The Wind, Tigercub capture a sound that feels cinematic, visceral, and unrestrained. Many of the album’s core takes were recorded live, highlighting the chemistry between Hall, bassist Jimi Wheelwright, and drummer James Allix.

Our last record was our midnight confession,” he explains. “A gothic heavy-metal record steeped in anxiety and noise. Nets To Catch The Wind is the dawn that follows — the white light record set in the space between dreaming and waking.”

We built whole worlds out of darkness. This record is about learning to live in the light even when you know it will not last.”

Production duties were handled by Tom Dalgety, known for his work with Royal Blood, Ghost, and Pixies. The record pushes the band into more expansive territory, exploring dynamics, texture, and emotion with greater depth than ever before. The album also features collaborations with Dom Craik of Nothing But Thieves and a spoken-word appearance from Neil Fallon of Clutch.

Another key creative presence behind the album was Stone Gossard, co-founder of Loosegroove Records and guitarist for Pearl Jam.

Stone was there every step of the way,” Hall says. “He helped us zoom out and see the bigger picture when we were lost in the details.”

Gossard is equally enthusiastic about the band’s future.

I’d put Jamie Hall’s winding mega riffs up against anyone in rock,” he says. “And he can fricking sing like a bad ass at the same time. Wow.”

The Brighton trio are also preparing for their biggest London headline show to date at KOKO on the 26th of March
