Former Loathe guitarist Connor Sweeney’s project TheBoyShadow continues to build momentum following its recent signing to Roadrunner Records with the release of the striking new single and video, ‘Bliss Being.’

The new track showcases a very different side to TheBoyShadow when compared to the project’s sonically punishing debut single, ‘GIVE ME A SEAM & I’LL SHOW YOU THE MEANING.’ Where the debut leaned into relentless aggression and jagged intensity, ‘Bliss Being’ embraces a more atmospheric and expansive sound, highlighting a dynamic balance between melody and heaviness.

Opening with a hypnotic mid-tempo pace, the track gradually unfolds through moody textures and immersive melodies before exploding into visceral chaos in its final moments. That intensity eventually dissolves back into softer, more reflective tones, creating a composition that constantly shifts and evolves in unpredictable ways.

Behind the music, TheBoyShadow represents a deeply personal four-year creative journey for Sweeney, who channelled introspection and personal struggles into the project’s evolving sound and identity. The music was shaped alongside a close circle of collaborators, helping transform those experiences into something cathartic and creatively ambitious.

The project also recently made its live debut with a show at Camden Assembly on April 6th in London, before joining PRESIDENT on their sold-out UK tour run.
