Alternative metal provocateurs The Callous Daoboys are back with their brand-new single, “Gigantic Parasite Tongue.” This marks the band’s first fresh material since their critically acclaimed 2025 album I Don’t Want to See You In Heaven, and it’s clear they haven’t lost a shred of intensity.
Frontman Carson Pace promises that the track is something monumental: “This song is going to change the world.” Meanwhile, guitarist Dan Hodsdon paints a visceral picture of the sonic chaos, likening it to “Meshuggah playing Future Breed Machine live at Download 2005.”
The song is a technical onslaught that shifts from crushing blastbeats and their signature mathcore riffage to soft and atmospheric before exploding into soaring anthemic melodies and crushing breakdowns, once again pushing the boundaries of modern metal.
Accompanying the track is a slightly unsettling video directed by Sam Hahn. The narrative follows a modern angel who is kidnapped by the band themselves and subjected to a harrowing ritual, his wings torn away in a brutal attempt to transfer divinity to another.
