The Cab Release First Full Length In 15 Years – ‘Chasing Crowns’

Las Vegas pop-rock favourites The Cab have officially returned with their long-awaited third studio album Chasing Crowns – their first full-length release in 15 years!

The 18-track independent record features recent singles “Sweet Kerosene,” “Locked and Loaded,” and “Back From The Dead,” alongside the punchy new focus track “ih8yourgutz.” The album also incorporates the four songs from their 2025 comeback EP Road To Reign: A Prelude, tying together the group’s re-emergence after more than a decade away.

“Chasing Crowns is finally yours,” shares the band. “Its pages and words are torn from our diaries and stories. Blood, sweat, and tears tattooed onto every page. It feels like our little miracle in a way. We couldn’t have made it here without all of you supporting and believing in us. There were times we didn’t think this moment would ever come. Life is turbulent, cruel, and heavy. But it also blooms, sings, and soars. It isn’t without its waves, but with you all as our compass and the wind in our sails, we know we will always find our way home. We hope you enjoy this album as much as we enjoyed making it. It isn’t ours anymore, it is now yours. Our vessel. In the end, beauty isn’t in perfection, it is endurance. This album taught us that.”

It’s that sense of perseverance that defines Chasing Crowns. Written over the past 10 years across multiple cities, the album captures the band’s personal and creative evolution, shaped by time, distance, and growth.

Sonically, Chasing Crowns showcases The Cab at their most dynamic. From the guitar-driven urgency of “Locked and Loaded” to the infectious, redemption-fuelled energy of “Back From The Dead,” the album moves effortlessly between styles. Elsewhere, “Sweet Kerosene” delivers polished pop-rock hooks, while “Hellraiser” offers a more intimate moment written by frontman Alex DeLeon for his daughter.

Now consisting of DeLeon, Alex Marshall, Dave Briggs, Joey Thunder, and Chantry Johnson, the band are gearing up to take Chasing Crowns on the road. Their upcoming Back From The Dead Tour marks their first headlining run in over a decade, kicking off 22nd May in Dallas and wrapping 30th June in Boston. Along the way, they’ll hit iconic venues across the U.S., joined by support acts Paradise Fears, JADY, and CARR on select dates. The Cab are also set to appear at Warped Tour this year, performing at both Long Beach and Orlando dates.
