Teenage Joans release new single ‘Coming Up From Hell’

Fast-rising Adelaide juice-box punk-pop duo Teenage Joans have kicked off a bold new era with the release of their new single, ‘Coming Up From Hell’ a track that doesn’t just announce their return, but does so with teeth bared and volume cranked to max.
Arriving as their first new music in a fresh creative cycle, the single signals a sharper, more expansive direction for the duo while still holding tight to the chaotic charm and raw, hook-heavy energy that has fuelled their rapid ascent through the alt scene. It follows a relentless touring run that’s seen them share stages with some of rock’s biggest names, including Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, Nothing But Thieves, Sum 41 and Hot Mulligan.
Speaking on the new single, the band describe a deliberate push into new territory: “We wanted it to be fast, punchy, and most importantly let everyone know we’re back and not playing around. We experimented quite a bit with the instrumentation in our newer sound, hoping to show our maturity a bit more through the compositions this time alongside the lyrics. The song is about our journey as artists in the modern world, it’s quite tongue in cheek, but the concept of hell is all the battles we’ve been through to be where we are, and we’ll do whatever it takes even speak to the devil himself!”
The release lands in the middle of a packed live schedule for the duo, including their debut UK headline tour and appearances at major industry festivals such as The Great Escape and Focus Wales. They’ll also be heading back to Australia later in the year for a run of shows supporting Violent Soho.
