Takedown Festival Announces New Wave Of Bands For 2026 Line-Up

Award-nominated independent rock and metal weekender Takedown Festival has revealed the next wave of artists joining its 2026 line-up.

Returning to Portsmouth Guildhall on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th April 2026, the south coast festival will once again bring together some of the most exciting names in alternative music.

Leading the latest announcement are Mouth Culture, the Leicester alt-rock collective known for their hook-laden, emotionally charged anthems, and Zetra, the shadowy London duo fusing shoegaze textures with ritualistic metal theatrics. Both will hit the stage on Saturday, alongside the soaring post-rockers Lastelle.

Friday’s lineup welcomes horror rock favourites South Of Salem and the unrelenting heavy metal force Asomvel.

Mouth Culture shares, “ Takedown feels like home – chaotic, loud, and exactly where we belong. We’re ready to leave our mark on it.”

ZETRA shares, “The countdown to Takedown begins. In April 2026, Zetra will return to the Portsmouth Guildhall. Expect the unexpected. Believe the unbelievable. The cycle starts anew. Zetra Loves You.”

Lastelle shares, “We’re really excited to be back at Takedown this year! We were welcomed with open arms last year, so to be back again but on the main stage is definitely going to be one to remember.”

South of Salem shares, “We could not be more excited to be a part of Takedown Festival 2026! The event is always incredible and we cannot wait to bring our high octane horror show to that awesome stage. As massive Motörhead fans we are also buzzing to see Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons play their killer Motörhead set.”

Asomvel shares, TAKEDOWN! ASOMVEL is coming for you! Honoured to be a part of the 2026 lineup, ASOMVEL has always been about loud, honest heavy rock, and that’s exactly what fans can expect from the show at Takedown 2026 in Portsmouth. See you on the Friday for an apocalyptic orgy of volume beyond human imagining!!!”

Topping this year’s bill is PRESIDENT, marking the masked collective’s first-ever festival headline slot. Meanwhile, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons bring their hard rock pedigree to the main stage, armed with a special Motörhead set.
