After announcing their upcoming self-titled record (out 8th November 2024 via Pure Noise Records) and their headline UK and Europe tour next year, pop punk kings State Champs have now released a brand new single, “Light Blue.” The song is the third taste of the record and demonstrates why even after 15 years into their career, they are still at the top of the pile in the genre. Blissful guitars and powerful drums lay the foundation for vocalist Derek DiScanio to deliver an array of ear worm hooks on top of.

Speaking on the new single the band share: “Have you ever been transported back in time, for better or for worse, simply by the smell of something or someone? Inspired by Dan & Shay’s “Tequila,” we put our energetic spin on this concept with “Light Blue.” It’s a light-hearted track that reminiscences and rollercoasters between airy, bouncy guitars and pop arrangements to a full-blown fuzzed-out chorus that will have you banging your head in between memories you didn’t ask to be dug back up.”

The band recently announced a 13-date tour across the EU and UK in Winter 2025. The shows will start in Germany and finish at London’s prestigious O2 Forum on 28th February.
