One of modern metal’s brightest stars Spiritbox have officially unveiled details of their highly anticipated second album, Tsunami Sea, set to crash onto shores on March 7, 2025, via Pale Chord in partnership with Rise Records. Produced by Dan Braunstein and Spiritbox guitarist Mike Stringer, mixed by Zakk Cervini, and mastered by Ted Jensen, the album promises to push the band’s sound into uncharted waters (okay, enough of the puns now).
Coinciding with the announcement, Spiritbox released their new single, “Perfect Soul”, accompanied by a cinematic music video directed by Dylan Hryciuk of Versa Films. The song delivers the kind of ethereal heaviness that has seen them become a household name over the past few years. The juxtaposition between frontwoman Courtney LaPlante beautifully haunting melodies and the crushing detuned heaviness provided by the rest of the band is something Spiritbox have truly perfected and is really what sets them apart sonically in the scene.
LaPlante shared her thoughts on the track, saying:
“Perfect Soul is a journey into the depths of self-reflection. We wanted to blend heaviness with atmosphere to create something that feels both crushing and cathartic. The visuals take that exploration a step further, inviting viewers into a world we’ve never shown before.”
The accompanying video is set in a decaying oceanside hospital, and features Courtney navigating the afterlife amidst ghostly figures and an otherworldly creature. Watch below.

2024 has been a landmark year for Spiritbox. The band earned their second GRAMMY nomination for Best Metal Performance for their track “Cellar Door,” and their genre-defying collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion on “TYG” from her MEGAN: ACT II deluxe album opened them up to a whole new set of eyes and ears. This year also saw Spiritbox take to the stage worldwide with main stage festival slots including Reading and Leeds and opening up on Korn’s 30th Anniversary US Tour. They still have some huge shows to come, supporting Bring Me The Horizon in Brazil and Mexico before headlining their own European tour in early 2025, with support from Periphery and Stray From The Path. In the summer, they’ll hit stadiums alongside a little band called Linkin Park. So it’s safe to say things are only going to get bigger from here. See full dates below.
