South Arcade Release New Single ‘DEADMEAT’

South Arcade are back with new music on the infectious single ‘DEADMEAT.’ The rising UK four-piece continue their rapid ascent with a track that blends their signature high energy sound with a playful, cinematic edge. ‘DEADMEAT’ arrives as the band gear up for a packed summer of festivals, international touring, and their biggest headline moment to date.
Speaking about the single, South Arcade said: “We went into writing wanting to tell a sort of modern Romeo and Juliet story (but with a less depressing ending), and we left with DEADMEAT. It has this reckless optimism about it where the two characters’ worlds shouldn’t really overlap but they’ve found each other regardless – they want to escape all of that noise, steal a car and leave town. It had this ‘us against the world’ energy that we loved.”
The result is a track that leans into that “us against the world” spirit, capturing a sense of escape and youthful defiance while still showcasing the band’s evolving songwriting and unmistakable identity.
‘DEADMEAT’ follows the success of their previous single ‘SUPERMAN’, released in April, which marked the band’s biggest streaming debut to date and has already surpassed 1.6 million Spotify streams. With over 180 million global streams and a social audience exceeding 2.2 million followers, South Arcade are rapidly cementing themselves as one of the most exciting forces in modern alternative music.
The release lands ahead of a huge summer schedule that includes major festival appearances at Download Festival, Rock for People and TRNSMT, before the band heads to the US for the Idobi Summer School tour and the iconic Vans Warped Tour.
Recently, South Arcade also completed a major UK and EU arena run alongside global heavyweights 5 Seconds of Summer, further building momentum for what has already been a breakthrough year. On top of their festival run, the band have announced their biggest headline show to date at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on 25 February 2027. With demand already high, only a limited number of tickets remain available.
